高速公路(道路)照明:设计因素、效益、成本和间距

什么是高速公路照明?

高速公路或街道照明是改善城市环境的一种手段,可提高夜间交通的舒适性、便利性和安全性。照明通常被认为是一种安全措施。然而,很明显,照明本身并不能带来安全。它反而提高了交通运行的效率,而交通安全是效率的副产品。  

公共照明应确保夜间交通运行尽可能安全、舒适和方便。驾驶员必须能够清晰地看到并准确定位驾驶环境中的所有重要细节。

同样,行人也必须能够清楚地看到自己的行进路线以及与车辆和可能的障碍物的关系。因此,公共照明必须满足驾驶员和行人的信息需求。但在实际操作中,驾驶员的要求被认为更为严格和重要。

充足的高速公路照明的主要目的是减少信息的不确定性。只要存在不确定性,就无法充分评估可能的替代决策。

驾驶员的视觉信息需求直接取决于驾驶员在执行驾驶任务时的行为。固定照明的需求取决于驾驶员的视觉方式以及驾驶员需要哪些信息才能圆满完成驾驶任务。

公路照明的设计因素

以下是高速公路照明设计需要考虑的八个重要因素:

  •   对比
  • 强光
  • 灯具
  • 灯杆横向放置
  • 照明布局
  • 灯具配光
  • 安装高度和悬垂
  • 照明单元的间距。

(1)对比:

对比度是影响夜间驾驶视觉效果的重要因素之一,物体的识别很大程度上是基于物体与背景亮度差异的辨别。

障碍物可能会在明亮的背景下显示为暗区。这被称为轮廓辨别。为了增强轮廓辨别能力,路面的亮度以及沿道路和横道路的亮度均匀性至关重要。

障碍物可能在黑暗背景下显示为明亮区域。这被称为反向轮廓辨别。它通常适用于道路附近区域的物体、路面上方的凸起物(如分流岛)以及行人或车辆上部的可见性。

(2)眩光:    

 在低亮度条件下进行困难的视觉任务时,会产生令人不安的影响,这种影响被称为眩光。以下两种眩光对驾驶员的视觉表现有重大影响:

  • 失能眩光或生理眩光
  •  不适眩光或心理眩光。

(一)失能眩光或生理眩光:   

这种眩光是由杂散光引起的,它会降低对比敏感度,从而导致视觉效率下降。可以通过增加安装高度、将灯具移离视线和增加背景亮度来减少眩光。

(二)不适眩光或心理眩光:  

眩光是由于强光源导致眼睛不适而发生的。可通过降低灯具亮度、增加安装高度和增加观察者视野内的背景亮度来尽量减少眩光。  

可以通过增加有效灯具面积和降低高于最佳路面亮度所需角度的光强度来降低灯具亮度。

(3)灯具:    

高速公路照明常用的灯具有钨丝灯、钠灯、汞灯和荧光灯。

白炽灯由于初始成本低而被广泛使用。钠蒸气灯发出黄橙色光,用于桥梁、铁路交叉口、急转弯等危险场所。这些灯价格昂贵。但它们的寿命很长。汞蒸气灯的照明和可见度更好。荧光灯的可见度好,对驾驶员的眩光最少。

(4)灯杆横向布置: 

灯杆不应安装在离人行道边缘太近的地方,因为这样会降低道路的通行能力,阻碍交通的自由流动。IRC 规定了灯杆所需的水平净空,如下所示:

  • 对于有凸起路缘的道路(如城市道路):  

距凸起路缘边缘至少 0.30 米,最好 0.60 米。

  • 对于没有凸起路缘的道路(例如乡村道路):

距离车道边缘至少 1.50 米,距离车道中心线至少 5 米

上述间隙也适用于电力和电信线路的杆塔。

(5)灯光布局:

高速公路信号灯可采用如图2至图5所示的不同布置方式。

图 2 显示了高速公路灯的布置,其中灯位于道路两侧,彼此相对。在这种布置下,道路轮廓分明。但它只适用于宽阔的道路。

图3显示的是高速公路灯光以交错方式排列在道路两侧。然而,这样的排列方式可能会在弯道上误导驾驶员。

图4. 显示了仅在道路的任意一侧设置公路灯的情况。这种布置适用于狭窄的街道。

图 5 显示了公路灯在道路中心线上的布置。在这种情况下,一条狭窄的中央带或中间带将道路纵向分为两部分。由于节省了灯具支架和电导体,这种布置以较低的成本提供了非常有效的照明系统,给人的印象是一条连续的、光线充足的道路,没有任何障碍物。然而,这种布置的缺陷是人行道和自行车道仍然相对较暗。

(6)灯具配光:

为了最大限度地利用灯具或光源,需要有适当的光线分布。应旨在实现以下目的:

  • 它应该覆盖路缘之间的路面。
  • 它应照亮人行道和人行道边缘以外约 3 米至 5 米范围内的相邻或周围区域。
  • 应当使交通标志和道路上的其他物体显得突出。
  •  它应使路面亮度达到最大程度的均匀性。

(7)安装高度和悬伸:

安装高度对路灯的光分布、阴影和眩光效果影响很大,一般安装高度为6米至10米,城市重要道路宜采用较高的高度。

灯杆上的悬垂部分可使灯杆远离人行道边缘,同时,灯将保持在路缘上方或朝向人行道。悬垂部分的一个好处是,它使人行道上的光线分布更好,道路使用者的眼睛不会感到眩光。

一种称为高杆照明的特殊道路照明技术已被采用,其安装高度为 30 米至 52.50 米。

它主要用于照亮立交桥、十字路口、高层广场、公园等区域。在高杆照明中,泛光灯类型的单元以组合方式排列,以将光线分布到大面积区域。

采用高杆照明的理由主要在于出于安全原因而拆除交通区域附近的灯具支架,并提供与日光条件类似区域的完整视野。

(8)照明单元的间距:

直路上的灯间距约为安装高度的3至5倍。急弯路段,灯间距可更近一些,以获得更好的可视性和舒适度。

照明单元间距公式:

S = (灯流明 x 利用系数 x 维护系数) / (平均勒克斯 x 宽度)

  • 利用系数可从下图中的相应图表中获得
  • 维护系数考虑了灯的系数随使用年限的下降,假设为 80%。

通过使用高功率灯具的更高安装高度,可以显著增加灯具之间的间距。照明单元的间距有时还受各种因素的影响,例如配电杆、产权线、道路布局等。

高速公路照明的好处
